MTN Nigeria reintroduced the MTN pulse some days ago, so far, it has generated quite a number buzz, it has got everyone talking. MTN Nigeria announced the continuation of this tariff with new brand ambassadors, the new brand ambassadors for the MTN pulse are FalzTheBahdGuy, Tekno and Skales.


SERVICE REVIEW

MTN Pulse tariff plan is a prepaid plan that allows its subscribers enjoy very cheap call rates to all national numbers at a flat rate of 11 kobo per second, after spending N10 daily. In other words, with the new MTN pulse you can call all networks in Nigeria (like Globacom, Etisalat, Airtel etc) at a flat rate of 11 kobo per second after spending just N10.

I previously used the MTN pulse and I am using it again this time, the services are a lot better and exciting. It is specially designed for the trendy & social Nigerian youths. This is because it offers just what the average Nigerian youth needs. Some of the benefits you get to enjoy with the new MTN pulse includes happy hour night browsing where you can browse the internet all through the night for just N25, enjoy music streaming on music + daily for just N10, enjoy data bonus on any recharge, enjoy 100% data bonus when you purchase the 500MB weekly bundle and many more!

To migrate to the new MTN pulse tariff plan, simply text '406' to 131 or dial *406*1# on your MTN line. Migration is completely free and you can opt in and out as many times as you want. It is open to all MTN prepaid customers and even though you are already on MTN iPulse you will still need to subscribe to the new MTN pulse tariff plan to enjoy the benefits.


 Now let me explain in details how these exciting benefits from MTN pulse works, with the happy hour bundle, you enjoy free night browsing with just N25. You will have to activate this option each time you want to enjoy the happy hour bundle, to activate simply send 'NIGHT' to 131 and you will be charged N25. The happy hour night browsing starts from 12:00AM to 4:00AM daily. The happy hour bundle is an unlimited access to browse the internet, so you can use it to download your favorite movies or TV series and so many other things.

To enjoy discounted call rates as low as 11 kobo per second you will need to spend N10. This N10 is not a rental fee because you will actually spend it for yourself. When you make calls, you will be initially charged at 20 kobo per second until you reach the N10 daily fee, after which your call rates will reduce to 11 kobo per second. This call rates expires daily at exactly 11:59PM and will continue in the same fashion the next day.

For the music+ option, you will enjoy free music streaming daily for just N10 only. To subscribe simply send 'M' to 5900 and you will be charged N10 for the first day after which you will be required to subscribe to the weekly or monthly plan to continue enjoying the service.

For the 100% data bonus, all you need to do is subscribe to the 500MB weekly data plan by sending'103' to 131 or by dialing *406*2*2#, you will be charged N500 after which you will receive your 100% data bonus of 1GB. It is a weekly plan so you just have 7days to enjoy your 1GB. To check your data balance and validity, simply send '2' to 131 or dial *131*4#. One interesting thing about this plan is that you can subscribe multiple times, you don't have to wait for the plan to expire, your data will keep accumulating and the validity will be extended too.

Lastly, you get to enjoy a free data bonus each time you recharge your MTN line, if you recharge with N100, you will receive 10MB and if you recharge N200 you will receive 20MB. This free data bonus expires daily at 11:59PM and will only come once on the first recharge every week. To check your free bonus balance, simply dial *556#.



RATINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

The new MTN pulse tariff plan is really an awesome plan, I'm yet to see any downsides or disadvantage of using this plan. It is completely marvelous, no wonder other networks were scared and frightened when they heard that MTN pulse was coming back, as seen in the TV commercials.
